She's (Occasionally) Crafty!
It's my secret wish to be able to have a craft blog. I love reading them and I get so much inspiration from the incredibly talented artists out there. I just don't have it in me to produce that much so my craft blog would be a pretty boring site. Occasionally though, the spirit moves and I feel inspired to share.
This is a newborn hat I crocheted for my neighbor and friend who just had her second little girl. I was inspired by the Munchkin hats in the Wizard of Oz. (You can't really see from the angle but the daisy on top is attached by a little stem and flops around). Her older daughter is Lowell's playmate and I made a matching hat with
earflaps for her but forgot to take a picture of it. (See? Total craftblog amateur.) Anyway, here's my contribution to the online craft world for this quarter. Enjoy.

We have a friend that knits and every so often she'll send one of our children a hat or scarf that is adorable like the one you made.

CRAFT BLOG!! I would SO get into that. I'm knitting a scarf in college colors for the oldest right this minute. Okay...not this minute because I really need my hands to type this. Still...I love making things with my hands and I enjoy reading blogs by other creative types. You'd be good. Give it a try. Start small and work your way up.
